Hurricane Maria Survivor To Speak At UF
3/5/18 – 7:41 A.M.
It’s been a little over five months since Hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico in late September. University of Findlay graduate Jorge Figeuroa was living in the country during the storm.
Since the disaster, Figueroa has dedicated his time to speaking about the hardships of the storm and its aftermath. He hopes to share ways to bring the island back to life and be better prepared for future disasters.
Figueroa will be speaking at the Winebrenner Theological Seminary on March 22 from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m.
His presentation will take place in room 254 and the event will be free and open to the public.
