Judge Names New Van Buren School Board Member

Van Buren’s former athletic director is now the district’s newest school board member. Probate Court Judge Kristen Johnson has picked Scott Grant to fill the board’s open seat. Grant is also an assistant professor of business at the University of Findlay.

The school board held two meetings in September to pick someone to fill the open spot., However, they were divided about who to name. When the vacancy was not filled within 30 days, the matter went to the probate court.
