Medical Condition May Have Led To Melrose Avenue Crash

A medical condition may have led to a two-car crash that claimed one life in Findlay late Thursday afternoon. The Findlay Police Department reports the collision happened in the 400 block of West Melrose Avenue around 5:30 p.m. Police have not publicly identified the driver who died.

Investigators say the driver was heading east on Melrose and stopped behind a parked car waiting for traffic to pass. An SUV also stopped behind a parked car in the same area. The first driver then began to drive between the stopped cars, and hit the SUV.

The crash remains under investigation.
