Monday Morning Crash Injures One

7/31/18 – 5:17 A.M.

A Monday morning crash injured an area woman. The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office reports the collision happened around 11 a.m. at the intersection of Hancock County Road 23 and Biglick Township Road 209, south of West Independence.

42-year-old Kristine Peters of Alvada stopped, but then pulled into the intersection and hit the back of a car driven by 40-year-old Samantha Zaciewski. Zaciewski’s car went off the road and rolled twice before stopping. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts.

Hanco EMS took Zaciewski to Blanchard Valley Hospital for treatment of her injuries.

Deputies cited Peters for failure to yield from a stop sign.
