More Hancock County First Responders To Carry Naloxone Kits
7/13/17 – 5:15 A.M.
First responders in Hancock County will soon carry naloxone kits to respond to opioid overdoses. The Courier reports Hancock Public Health is providing kits to emergency responders including Findlay firefighters. The agency is using money provided by the state to pay for the overdose antidotes.
The department received a two-year state contract for $24,000 last year. The contract mandates Hancock Public Health educate the public about opioids and get naloxone kits into the hands of private citizens. This is the second year of the program.
