More Insurers Expected To Offer Affordable Care Act Plans In Ohio

Ohioans will likely see more insurers offering plans under the Affordable Care Act in 2019. However, increasing premiums could mean local doctors won’t be in the network. The Ohio Department of Insurance completed its review of insurance product filings last week.
Last year there were 42 counties in Ohio that only had one insurer. Hancock, Putnam, Wyandot, Allen, and Seneca counties all have two insurers offering plans next year.
Open enrollment for 2019 coverage runs November 1 through December 15.
