Putnam County Man Killed In Tractor Rollover

A Putnam County man died last night in a fatal farm accident in Perry Township. The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office reports that they were called to help a trapped person on Road 22K. Responders found 58-year-old Thomas Wannemacher trapped under a tractor. According to officers, it appeared that he was mowing along a ditch when the tractor rolled into it. Wannemacher suffered fatal injuries and had to be removed from the equipment by Kalida Heavy Rescue.

The accident remains under investigation.
