State Representative Robert Sprague will have an opponent in his bid to become state treasurer in the May primary election. The Associated Press reports Republican Sandra O’Brien plans to run for the position. She ran for state treasurer 11 years ago and lost to Democrat Richard Cordray in the general election after unseating the incumbent in the primary.
The winner of the Republican primary will face Democrat Rob Richardson of Cincinnati in November.
