Seneca County Considers Sunny Farms Landfill Proposal

Seneca County is considering a proposal from Sunny Farms Landfill. The Review-Times reports a representative for the facility asked the county commissioners to waive a quarterly charge during a Tuesday meeting. Ben Nutter represents the landfill, and says they aren’t currently using a pipeline connected to the county’s system.

Nutter says changes in how the landfill operates have kept them form using the pipeline. He adds they do plan to use it again in the future.

Nutter added that the landfill will pay more than $15,000 in overdue charges for this year.

The commissioners did not make a decision Tuesday.
