Suspect In Overdose Death Arrested In Georgia

Authorities have arrested a man suspected in a Hancock County overdose death. The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office reports police found 43-year-old Anthony Whitiker of Toledo at a swimming pool in Fairburn, Georgia. Whitaker is facing several charges including involuntary manslaughter stemming from the death of 28-year-old Danielle Rice.

A passerby found the body of Rice along a road northeast of Findlay in February. Authorities initially investigated the case as a homicide. County Coroner Dr. Mark Fox later determined she died from a fentanyl overdose.

40-year-old Desirae Bright of Findlay and 38-year-old Dawn Jones are also facing charges in the case.
