Suspicious Package Causes Evacuation Of Hardin County Court Annex

11/1/18 – 5:17 A.M.

A suspicious package led to the evacuation of the Hardin County Court Annex Wednesday morning. Sheriff Keith Everhart said his office received a call around 11 a.m. from the Department of Job and Family Services. Everhart said they weren’t sure what was in the package, but moved everybody out of the annex as a precaution.

Staff members moved across the street to the Hardin County Courthouse.

The Allen County hazardous materials team assisted in securing the package. So far there’s no word on what was inside of it.
