Train Collides With Cattle Truck In Putnam County

A train hit a semi in Putnam County Thursday afternoon. The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office says the collision happened between Ottawa and Columbus Grove on County Road O.

A cattle hauler driven by 33-year-old Kyle Shroyer of Danville, Indiana, was driving west on the road when he got stuck. He got out of the truck before a southbound train hit it around 2:15 p.m.

The sheriff’s office says the crash didn’t kill any of the cattle in Shroyer’s truck.
