Two Injured In Crash Involving State Patrol Cruiser

A two-car crash involving a State Patrol cruiser injured two people in Wood County Wednesday morning. The State Highway Patrol says the collision happened around 6:15 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the interstate between Bowling Green and U.S. 6.
52-year-old James Tounage of Detroit, Michigan was driving south when he became distracted and drove into the median. His car hit a stopped cruiser driven by 42-year-old Philip Mohre of the Findlay Patrol post. An EMS crew took Tounage and his passenger to Wood County Hospital for treatment of their injuries. Mohre was not hurt in the crash.
Troopers cited Tounage for failure to control.
