Two Injured In Marion Township Crash

Two people were injured in a car accident in Marion Township yesterday. The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office reports that the accident happened around 11:30 a.m. at the intersection of State Route 568 and Township Road 237. 59-year-old Richard Aukerman of McComb was heading south on 237 when he failed to stop at a stop sign. He was hit by 28-year-old Bryatt Smith of Findlay.

Hanco EMS took Aukerman to a hospital for unknown injuries. A private vehicle took Smith to Blanchard Valley Hospital for possible injuries.

Officers cited Aukerman for failure to stop at a stop sign.
