Update – 7:55 A.M.
Area waterways continue to run high following heavy rain showers. The National Weather Service is calling for the Blanchard River to crest in the action stage at 21 feet in Ottawa this afternoon.
The Auglaize River on Putnam County’s west side was in the moderate flood stage at last check. The river crested at just over 16.3 feet this morning. The NWS expects the river to drop out of flood stage by tomorrow afternoon.
The NWS is not calling for any more flooding along the Blanchard River or Eagle Creek at this time. However, at last check, the Blanchard River was starting to rise back toward the action stage in Findlay. The Eagle Creek is also starting to rise again.
We also have scattered reports of high water on low-lying roads throughout the region today.
