Walmart Arson Suspect Used Credit Card To Buy Materials To Start Fire
5/9/19 – 5:26 A.M.
Investigators say a central Ohio man’s actions before a fire at the Walmart in Kenton helped lead to his arrest. Court documents show 26-year-old Caleb Poole of Fredericktown bought Thermoses and a lighter from the same store with a credit card.
Surveillance video shows Poole filled the two containers with gas from a Kenton gas station. He then returned to the store and put toilet paper and hair spray in his shopping cart.
Walmart says the fire cost them around $1 million. That includes damage caused by the sprinkler system. One person received treatment for smoke inhalation.
