11/16/18 – 5:27 A.M.
Wyandot County Sheriff’s deputies took a 14-year-old West Virginia boy into custody Wednesday, after they found him driving his parents’ Cadillac near Carey. OnStar contacted the sheriff’s office around 7 p.m. to let them know the teen had taken the car and was driving on U.S. 23 in northern Wyandot County.
A deputy found the boy at a rest stop, where he had stopped to get a candy bar. The boy said he left his home because his parents didn’t want him. He added he was driving to see relatives in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Deputies took him back to the sheriff’s office where they got him a burger and fries. The teen’s mother and uncle drove to Upper Sandusky to pick him up.
