Wilson Football Factory In Ada Busy Making Super Bowl Footballs
(ONN) – As soon as this year’s Super Bowl match-up was set, workers at the Wilson Sporting Goods football factory in Ada jumped into action.
The Ohio factory makes the game balls used by every NFL team. But this time of year it’s all about the Super Bowl.
As the Eagles and Chiefs prepare for kickoff on February 9 the factory is making more than 200 footballs.
The plant manager says this is always an exciting time for their workers.
Normally it takes three days to make a football but the first batch of footballs need to be sent to the teams by Monday so they have time to break them in.
Super Bowl LIX (59) will be played in New Orleans on Sunday, February 9.
