Applications open for America 250-Ohio Agritourism Trail

Ohio Farm Bureau is partnering with America 250-Ohio to launch the America 250-Ohio Agritourism Trail, a statewide initiative designed to celebrate Ohio agriculture as part of the nation’s 250th anniversary.

The self-guided tour will highlight agritourism destinations across Ohio throughout September and October 2026, encouraging Ohioans and visitors to explore the state’s rich agricultural heritage and diverse operations.

Applications are being accepted through June 30 for agritourism businesses interested in being featured on the America 250-Ohio Agritourism Trail. Selected trail participants will be announced at the Ohio State Fair in August.

Submissions are evaluated based on accessibility, relevance and visitor experience:

  • Accessibility: Eligible sites should be open to walk-in visitors during regular hours, offer adequate parking and provide clear information on operating hours or public tours. Locations relying on tours must be open to the public and posted on the website with an easy booking process.
  • Relevance: Participating sites should have a direct connection to agritourism and help Ohioans celebrate or partake in agricultural heritage or production.
