Ohio barn pays tribute to America’s 250th
The Rice family has been farming in Wayne County for more than 200 years. Today, the historic farm is also home to a special barn mural recognizing America’s 250th anniversary.
Joe Rice, a seventh-generation farmer, shares the history of the family farm, which was deeded to the Rice family by President James Monroe in 1818. The barn, built in the early 1800s, has housed generations of livestock and continues to serve the farm today.
Located along U.S. Route 250, the barn was selected as the site for a special mural celebrating the nation’s semiquincentennial.
