Fatal Crash In Findlay

The Findlay Police Department says two people were killed in a one-vehicle crash.

The crash happened at 2:18 Tuesday afternoon at North Blanchard Street and Crystal Avenue.

Police say Devante McBeth, 30, of Fostoria, was driving south on North Blanchard Street in a Ford Fusion, approaching the intersection of Crystal Avenue.

A passenger in the vehicle told police that the driver suffered a medical emergency and accelerated at a high rate of speed.

The passenger attempted to steer the car but was unable to maintain control.

The car went off the right side of the road and struck a parked vehicle, a utility pole and a tree.

Police say the driver, Devante McBeth, 30, of Fostoria, and back seat passenger Breanna Garvey, 31, of Fostoria, were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Police say front seat passenger Christopher Hook, 38, of Fostoria, was taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital with serious injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
