Assistant Principal Accused Of Assaulting Student

An assistant principal of a Hancock County school is being investigated for allegedly assaulting a student.

Nathan Sorg is the assistant principal of Riverdale Local Schools in Mt. Blanchard.

A parent of a student filed a complaint, accusing Sorg of placing his hands on their child’s neck, leaving visible marks.

Sorg reportedly believed the student was in possession of a device used to vape.

The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the matter, and the school district has placed Sorg on leave pending the investigation.
