Attempt To Thaw Pipes With Torch Burns Down Fostoria Home

Fire destroyed a Fostoria home over the weekend. The Fostoria Fire Department says a resident in a home at 120 Olmstead Street accidentally started the blaze when he used a torch to try and thaw frozen pipes.

The resident got out of the home safely.

It took about eight firefighters an hour to put out the flames.
