Bluffton Woman Hurt In Two Car Crash

An accident in Liberty Township sent a Bluffton woman to the hospital Thursday. The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office reports that the accident happened around 12:30 p.m. at the State Route 12 and Township Road 139 intersection.

63-year-old Ronald Rettig from Rawson stopped on Township Road 139 at the intersection. He failed to see 71-year-old Paula Eck’s vehicle as he pulled onto State Route 12 and into her path.

Hanco EMS took Eck to Blanchard Valley Hospital. Her status is unknown. Officers cited Rettig for failure to yield from a stop sign.
