Carey Man Injured In Quarry Accident

A workplace accident injured a man at the National Lime & Stone quarry in Carey last Friday. The Courier reports the family of Steve Adkins says a train car hit him, causing him to lose both legs above the knee. A Facebook post says he will “be having several major surgeries in the days, weeks and even months to come.”
Tab Adkins has created a Facebook Fundraiser called “Steve’s Road to Recovery.” They’ve also started a GoFundMe account called “Help Support Steve Adkins.”
