The researchers, with the backing of Cooper Tire and Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, are looking at ways to treat for weeds without killing the dandelions.
Wilin said that this beneficial for tire producers.
Wilin added that these rubber producing dandelions can’t be implemented right away. He said they are years away from mass producing the dandelions.
