Deal Offered To Two Defendants In Hilty Home Death Case
8/2/18 – 5:32 A.M.
The Putnam County prosecutor has offered plea deals to two of the women charged in the death of a Pandora nursing home resident. The Lima News reports prosecutor Gary Lammers offered to drop involuntary manslaughter charges against 36-year-old Rachel Friesel and 20-year-old Destini Fenbert. The women have three weeks to decide if they’ll take the deal.
Authorities charged Fenbert and Friesel with involuntary manslaughter, forgery, patient neglect, and gross patient neglect in the January 7 death of Hilty Home resident Phyllis Campbell. Lammers says if they plead guilty to the forgery and patient neglect charges the state will dismiss other counts.
32-year-old Megan Schnipke of Columbus Grove faces counts of forgery and gross patient neglect in the case. She has a court hearing tomorrow.
