ELECTION RESULTS: Latta Wins Reelection In 5th Congressional District

Congressman Bob Latta easily held onto his 5th congressional district seat Tuesday. Latta took 62 percent of the votes cast in his race against Democrat Michael Galbraith and Libertarian Donald Kissick. Latta is in his fifth term as a U.S. Congressman.

Latta will now be in the minority party in Congress. On the topic of the so-called Democrat “blue wave,” Latta said he thinks voters looked at the economy and unemployment rate. He says as a result not as many seats switched parties as some thought.
