Findlay Woman Pleads Guilty In Overdose Case

11/20/18 – 5:10 A.M.

Another Findlay woman has pleaded guilty to charges stemming from the overdose death of Danielle Rice earlier this year. 38-year-old Dawn Johns appeared in court Monday to plead guilty to counts of abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence.

Investigators say Johns and two other people got rid of Rice’s body after she died from an overdose. A passer-by found Rice along Cass Township Road 215 on February 4th.

The plea deal requires Johns to testify against 44-year-old Anthony Whitaker of Toledo. He allegedly gave Rice the drugs that killed her.

Sentencing is set for January 31st.
