Human Remains Found Along I-75 In Southern Hancock County

The investigation continues today after human remains were found along I-75 near Rawson. The State Highway Patrol confirms that they received a report about remains along the interstate around 9:40 a.m. today.
A man mowing alongside the highway found a sleeping bag with a body inside of it. remains were found in an area near the tree line, far from the interstate. The Hancock County Coroner’s Office was called to the scene around 10 a.m.
Over a dozen law enforcement vehicles are at the scene and troopers are combing the area. They have the interstate down to one lane which is slowing down traffic.
