New Community Mural Celebrating Hancock County Dedicated

A new community mural celebrating the people and history of Hancock County was dedicated at Brucklacher Memorial Park on County Road 236.

The mural was created entirely by community members, with the oldest person participating 104 years old and the youngest only 1 month old.

Emily Sullivan with Awakening Minds Art explains how their handprints, and many others, will be part of the mural forever.

The mural can be seen at Brucklacher Memorial Park at 8884 County Road 236 in Findlay, which is also the location of the Little Red Schoolhouse.

The mural was created for America 250, in collaboration with the Hancock Historical Museum, Awakening Minds Art, Visit Findlay, and the Kiwanis Club of Findlay, with funding provided by the Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation.
