Congratulations to Andy Schmitz, RN, on receiving a DAISY Foundation Award!
Andy was nominated by the wife of a patient he cared for in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). She and her husband were incredibly grateful for Andy’s expertise, attentiveness, and compassion throughout their stay.
“Andy is an absolute godsend,” she wrote. “He was everything we could have hoped for in a nurse and more. During an incredibly stressful and uncertain time, Andy was so reassuring and made us feel like he truly cared for us as if we were his own family.”
