Ohio Governor Calling For Primary Seat Belt Law
(ONN) – Ohio Governor Mike DeWine wants to change Ohio’s seatbelt law.
This came up during the governor’s final State of the State Address.
In the speech, DeWine said he wants to make not wearing a seatbelt a primary offense.
Currently, authorities must witness a different violation first before they can pull you over.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol ticketed more than 52,000 people last year for seatbelt violations.
