One Person Injured In Seneca County Crash Monday Night

A one-car crash near Fostoria sent a New Riegel woman to the hospital Monday night. The State Highway Patrol reports the crash happened on State Route 587 just south of State Route 18 around 5 p.m.

44-year-old Elizabeth Cartegena was driving south on Route 587 when she lost control on a curve. Her SUV rolled and came to a stop on the driver’s side door. An ambulance took Cartagena to ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital, and then a medical helicopter transferred her to ProMedica Toledo Hospital.

The crash remains under investigation.
