People Urged To Donate Blood During Summer Shortage Concerns

The American Red Cross is holding several upcoming blood drives in the area

The Red Cross says its blood supply often drops in the summer as fewer people donate during the summer months.

Combine that with more outdoor activities that could result in injuries needing a blood transfusion, and that’s when shortages occur.

There are several opportunities to give coming up in the area.

Below are a few of the upcoming blood drives, according to the Red Cross website.

-Reineke Family Dealerships at 12000 County Road 99 on Wednesday, July 8.

-Blanchard Valley Center at 1700 East Sandusky Street on Friday, July 10.

-Findlay Moose Lodge at 1028 West Main Cross Street.
