Piqua Company Submits Low Bid For Courthouse Painting Project

12/1/17 – 5:06 A.M.

A Piqua company is the low bidder for a painting project at the Hancock County Courthouse. The Courier reports Brian Brothers Painting and Restoration submitted a bid of nearly $59,000. That was around $3,000 less than the next lowest bid.

The original estimate for the work was $80,000.

A grant from the Ohio Historical Society is paying for the majority of the project. The county applied for up to $50,000 from the society. The state received the money from Rover Pipeline’s parent company. Energy Transfer Partners had to make the money available after they demolished a historic home in eastern Ohio during pipeline construction.
