Putnam County Couple Honored For Service To Habitat For Humanity

Habitat for Humanity recently honored an Ottawa couple. The Putnam County Sentinel reports the Ohio Habitat for Humanity gave Chas and Beth Myers a lifetime achievement award at a ceremony in Columbus. The organization says they are the “face of the affiliate in local communities.”

Paul Ryan is the executive director for Ohio Habitat for Humanity. He says Chas and Beth putting in several hours of leg work to set up a Habitat chapter in Putnam County. They also set up policies for recruiting board members when they helped establish the agency in 2009.

The Putnam County Habitat for Humanity chapter has built 10 new homes and repaired 12 others.
