Registration Open For Inaugural Blanchard River 5K Run/Walk

The Blanchard River Watershed Partnership is inviting runners, walkers and families from across Northwest Ohio to participate in the inaugural Blanchard River 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Riverbend Park in Findlay.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., with the race starting at 9 a.m. Professional timing services will be provided by Dave’s Running, making the event ideal for both competitive runners and casual participants.
The scenic course will showcase Riverbend Park and the Blanchard River, offering participants an opportunity to enjoy one of Hancock County’s natural treasures while learning more about the importance of watershed conservation.
“This event is about more than crossing a finish line,” said Jane McCleary, board president. “It’s an opportunity to connect people with the river that runs through our community and inspire greater awareness of the role we all play in protecting clean water for future generations.”
The Blanchard River 5K Run/Walk welcomes participants of all ages and fitness levels. Whether running for a personal best, walking with friends and family or simply supporting a great cause, attendees will help advance the partnership’s mission of promoting healthy waterways and environmental stewardship throughout the watershed.
The event is expected to attract participants from throughout the region, bringing visitors to Findlay while highlighting local parks, outdoor recreation opportunities and community assets.
Millstream Area Credit Union has signed on as the event’s Presenting Sponsor, helping launch what organizers hope will become an annual tradition celebrating the Blanchard River and the communities it serves. Dr Mark Kirk Chiropratic – F.O.R.M.E Medical and Rehabilitation Center and UIS Insurance have are event sponsors.
