Rotary Club Announces Recipient Of Service Above Self Award

The Findlay Rotary Club recently presented its 2026 Forward Fund recipients, as well as announcing its Service Above Self Award.
Seven local organizations were awarded grants from the Forward Fund, from which $55,000 was distributed this year.
This year’s seven recipients include:
- City Mission, for transportation
- Cancer Patient Services, for patient financial assistance
- Hancock Christian Clearing House, for Project Happy Feet
- First Presbyterian Church’s Daycare Center
- Focus Recovery & Wellness, for LOFT
- Via Care Collective, for youth counseling
- Raise the Bar Hancock County, for K-12 career readiness
In addition, Dr. Stan Doty was named the Club’s 2026 Service Above Self award winner. The award is given to a non-Rotarian exhibiting outstanding community service and extensive local volunteer service.
Doty, a long-time local dentist, had his application submitted by Rotarians Mark Miller and Chuck Clapper.
As part of the award, the recipient is presented $500, which Doty donated to the Black Swamp Area Council of Scouting America.
