Sheriff’s Office Executes Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Warrant

On June 23, 2026, the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 345 Township Road 39 (W Vance St), Rawson. The search warrant was executed as a result of an investigation which was assigned to the Sheriff’s Office by the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.

The search warrant yielded several electronic devices which will be forensically examined for any material related to the investigation.

During the search warrant, numerous dogs were found inside the residence living in deplorable conditions. The Hancock County Humane Society was contacted and responded to the scene.

Due to the conditions, thirteen (13) Shetland Sheep Dogs were removed from the residence. The Humane Society will be consulting the Prosecutor’s Office regarding the care of the dogs.

The investigation is ongoing and will be reviewed by the Prosecutor’s Office at the conclusion of the investigation.
