A two-van collision injured three people at the Hancock-Putnam County line Saturday afternoon. The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office reports the collision happened at the intersection of U.S. 224 and County Road 16 around 1 p.m.

24-year-old Marrisa Schimmoeller of Columbus Grove was driving northbound on Road 16 when she stopped at the intersection. She didn’t see a westbound van driven by 58-year-old Diane Fuerst of Ottawa and pulled into the van’s path.

Hanco Ambulance took Schimmoeller to Blanchard Valley Hospital. Fuerst and her passenger went to the St. Rita’s Ambulatory Care Center in Glandorf.

Deputies cited Schimmoeller for failure to yield at a stop sign.
