Time Clock Dispute Could Be Nearing A Resolution

The City of Findlay is working to find a resolution to a dispute over how salaried employees keep track of their hours.

The dispute centers around the city’s Time and Attendance system, which some employees say is impractical and creates more work at the department level.

Both the police and firefighter unions say the way the system has been implemented is not practical to their work hours.

The Finance Committee of Findlay City Council recently voted to redo the city ordinance regarding salaried employees to end the use of time clocks. The issue will now go before full City Council.

Employees would still be required to keep track of their hours to verify pay, sick time, and vacation time.
