OhioHealth Reaches Agreement To Resolve Antitrust Lawsuit

(ONN) – The US Department of Justice has reached an agreement with a major Ohio healthcare provider to resolve an antitrust suit.

The US Department of Justice and the Ohio Attorney General’s Office reached an agreement with healthcare behemoth OhioHealth to end a lawsuit which charged the hospital system with leveraging its market dominance to block insurers from steering patients to lower cost alternatives.

In the agreement, OhioHealth admits no wrongdoing and pays no fines but is strictly prohibited from all or nothing terms that restrict insurees to OhioHealth.

They will be monitored by a compliance team for five years.
