Allen County Plane Crash Claims Two Lives

A small plane crash outside of Gomer in Allen County killed two people Thursday. The Lima Post of the State Highway Patrol reports that the accident happened around 4:42 p.m. in a field southeast of the intersection of Tudor and Sandy Point Roads. Troopers report that it was a single-engine plane that crashed.

Both the pilot and one passenger were killed in the crash. They were pronounced dead at the scene by Allen County Coroners Assistant Jamie Sizemore. The victims’ names have not been released.

The crash remains under investigation.
