Detroit Residents Arrested After Leading Findlay Police On Chase

Findlay Police arrested two Detroit residents after they led them on a short chase Monday afternoon. Officers were responding to a report of a theft at Dick’s Sporting Goods on Tiffin Avenue around 12:45 p.m. They tried to pull over the suspects, but they took off to the west. The suspects would eventually turn on to North Blanchard Street and then onto Walnut Street before they hit a utility pole and another car.

Officers took 51-year-old Vita Warren and 40-year-old Gregory Nevers to Blanchard Valley Hospital for treatment before they took them to the Hancock County Jail. Warren faces charges of fleeing and eluding, and drug possession among others.

Nevers is facing a theft charge.
