Findlay Woman Pleads Guilty To Role In Drug Overdose Death

11/6/18 – 9:27 A.M.

A Findlay woman has pleaded guilty to charges related to a February overdose death. 40-year-old Desirae Bright appeared in court Monday. She pleaded guilty to abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence.

As part of Bright’s plea deal, she’ll have to testify against Anthony Whitiker. Investigators say Whitiker provided 28-year-old Danielle Rice the drugs that killed her.

A passerby found Rice’s body along Cass Township Road 215 between Hancock County Road 18 and Hancock County Road 236. Hancock County Coroner Dr. Mark Fox ruled the death was an accident caused by combined drug toxicity.
