McComb Reinstates Auxiliary Police Force

McComb is reactivating its auxiliary police force. Village council voted 5-1 to make the move Monday night. The village is now accepting applications for auxiliary police officers. Police Chief Greg Smith says he’s looking for three or four volunteers.

Once the volunteers get training, they’ll fill in the gaps when regular officers aren’t available.
