The Marathon Center for the Performing Arts (MCPA) has named Isaac Weese, a 2026 graduate of Findlay High School, as the recipient of its 2026 Youtheatre College Scholarship.

Weese, the son of David and Yukari Weese, plans to attend the University of Oklahoma this fall, where he will major in musical theatre.

Recipients are selected based on their level of participation, years of involvement in MCPA’s Youtheatre program, and demonstrated growth in performing arts and technical production skills.

“Youtheatre gave me the chance to be part of something bigger than myself,” Weese said.

“It has helped me understand who I want to be—not only as a performer, but as a citizen, a mentor, and a brother. It inspired my desire to pursue a career in the performing arts and gave me the confidence to take that next step.

Most importantly, it has taught me to help others see what they can become, just as this program helped me see it in myself.”

More than 200 students participate in MCPA’s Youtheatre programs annually through productions, camps, and workshops designed to develop performance and technical skills.
