No One Injured In Putnam County Plane Crash

Three people walked away from a plane crash in Putnam County uninjured late last week. The Putnam County Sentinel reports the incident happened northeast of Ottawa just after 11 a.m. on October 5.

A single-engine airplane was trying to make an emergency landing at the Putnam County Airport after it suffered engine issues. The plane didn’t make it to the airport and crash-landed in a cornfield on Road 5F near Leipsic.

The passengers were on their way from Michigan to Kentucky.

The FAA and the State Highway Patrol are investigating the crash.
