11/13/18 – 5:20 A.M.

Efforts continue to raise money for the new baseball and softball diamonds in Carey. Superintendent Mike Wank says the athletic boosters are working to raise money toward the $265,000 price tag for the project. Wank says many people have donated to help build the dugouts at the new diamonds.

Wank adds that they have started preparation work for the installation of an electric conduit.

The school expects the diamonds will be ready for use by late spring. They will replace the varsity baseball diamond in Memorial Park and the varsity softball diamond in Waterworks Park.
